Admissions
The school has an open admissions policy for grades 6th and 7th with preference given to returning students. Students entering 8th grade are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Socioeconomic diversity in enrollment is a strong commitment of TMS. TMS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national, and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs and athletic and other school administered programs. Students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin are granted all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.
At TMS we believe the best way to find out if we are a good fit is to try us on for size. After parents attend an initial informational meeting we begin the admissions process with your child in earnest. Students spend a day at TMS and gain true insight into our approach. In this “real world” setting we also get to know your child better and see how he/she responds to our program. Conversely, students get to see if this is the place for them.
A meeting between the parents and the director to assure compatibility rounds out the process. This truly consensual decision makes for enthusiastic students, committed parents and a happy school.
2023-24 School Year
Our official admission process is now complete. However, if space allows, TMS does have a rolling enrollment option. If you are interested in a place for your child for the 2023-24 school year please call the school office. Inquiries are handled on a case-by-case basis
2024-25 School Year
Tuition $25,000. New student fee $500.
Enrollment process for the 2024-25 school begins in October 2023.

HOW TO APPLY
Steps 1-5 MUST be completed before the deadline of February 9th to be considered for Financial Aid for 2024-25.

2. Attend Informational Meetings/Open House
3. Apply
Complete Application Package
Complete Financial Aid Package if applicable.
Partial scholarships are offered based upon financial need.
4. Parent Interview with the Director
After Application has been submitted an individual appointment will be made for parents to meet with the Director.
5. Student day visit
After Application has been submitted prospective students choose a date for a visit. Students are asked to stay at TMS for a full day.

COMPLETion of THE PROCESS
6. Admissions offers sent - March 1, 2024
Notice of admissions, financial aid awards (if applicable), and financial contracts, are mailed out to families on March 1st.
7. Acceptance of place. Deadline April 1, 2024
Acceptance of place, along with the signed financial contract stating preferred payment schedule (full, quarterly or monthly) and a non-refundable tuition deposit are due by April 1st.
Financial Aid
Approximately 30% of our families benefit from our financial aid program.
TMS has a “work study” program where scholarship over and above $5000 include a parent participation component. Parents use their skills and talents to contribute to school operations.
There is an additional charge for our camping trips (usually around the $250). On average there are four a year.
There are no other hidden expenses.
